These shoes are lovely, but they do need to be broken in. I ordered a size 7 which is my usual size and they fit well. The leather is quite stiff and took two solid wearings to soften up - I did get blisters the first day I wore them on the heel, but that has since gone away. The only problem with these shoes is that the soles are VERY slippery. On rough surfaces or carpets they are fine, but I slipped and wiped out on some tile earlier today. Be careful with them until they get worn in or rough them up with some sandpaper! Otherwise, they are a lovely pair of shoes with very high quality leather and I highly recommend.
